During my decade-long service in the United States Navy as a missile technician aboard submarines, I encountered a unique and exhilarating lifestyle. My role involved working with advanced missile systems in an environment that few people experience. I had the privilege of serving alongside some of the most adventurous and dedicated individuals our country has to offer. These men willingly chose to encapsulate themselves in a metal tube and patrol the depths of the ocean for months at a time, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to their mission and to each other. The camaraderie forged in the tight confines of a submarine, where we faced challenges together, created bonds that were both profound and unforgettable. My experiences in the Navy shaped me in ways I never anticipated, instilling a sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience that continues to impact my life today.

Pride Runs Deep

My pride in my submarine service runs deep, intertwining with the very essence of who I am. The time-honored traditions of the Navy have profoundly shaped my character, instilling in me a sense of duty, integrity, and responsibility. Even though I transitioned to civilian life long ago, the lessons and values I learned at sea remain etched in my heart. The bonds forged with the crews I served, the shared sacrifices, and the unwavering commitment to one another define my experience and continue to influence my actions. I carry the spirit of a sailor with me always, a steadfast reminder that once you embrace the life of a sailor, it never truly departs. I am proud of my journey, and I will forever cherish the legacy of my service.
